Birding in Concord, MA with Ian

It was important to Ian to find this bird, so I drove the half hour to Concord and Ian found it in about 5 minutes with his scope. Friday, August 8th.
Beautiful view from the top of the observation tower.

Climbing up the tower to get a better view.

Ian finds the rarely seen this time of year Common Moorhen.

Panorama I made in Adobe Elements from 4 photographs.

The Moorhen was here, about half a mile away.

Listening for birds.

Getting ready to drive back home  were Ian posts what he saw on the MassBird email list
